XFS 4th Annual Song Contest

The XFS Announces our 4th Annual Song Contest:

The XFS song contest performances have been an exciting part of XFest for the past 3 years and this year will be even better ! We are excited to announce the opening of this year's contest and offer the opportunity to play on the same stage with such great performers as Vance Gilbert and Gandalf Murphy and the Slambovian Circus.

PLEASE , PLEASE , PLEASE submit your songs and encourage people you know to submit their songs.

 WINNER(s) to PERFORM AT XFEST 2008 on Saturday, June 14th

Winners will get to perform at XFest, get a free listing in the program book and be considered for a future XFS house concert. Winners will also get one FREE ticket to the XFEST and a complimentary one year membership in the XFS.

 PLEASE forward this announcement to any musicians you know.

Please submit 1 song (only 1 please) in MP3 format to xfsinfo@xfsmusic.org.

Deadline for entry is April 15th, winners will be notified by mid May.

Contest Rules:

1. Contest open to the general public (contest not open to XFS Board members)

2. Only one song per artist can be entered

3. song should be submitted in MP3 format via email to xfsinfo@xfsmusic.org (if you cannot email an MP3 contact me and I will give you my address to send a cd to, I still need to RECEIVE it by April 15th) please include your full name, song name, lyrics if desired and an alternate method to contact you just in case.

4. multiple winners may be chosen based on the decision of the judges.

5. you must be able to perform the song Live at XFest on June 14th. Note: 1 vocal mic, 1 Direct Input ONLY will be made available for XFest stage performances
