The XFS is a music organization created through its founders' faith in the excitement of originality in folk music.

 

In 2000, we had an idea - An idea that folk music didn't have to be safe. It didn't have to be clean. The XFS was formed with the intent to promote and disseminate this type of folk music, with a determined emphasis on that which is original, daring and extreme. This is not your grandfather's folk music.

 

The XFS defines extreme as exceeding the ordinary, usual, or expected.

 

The XFS is dedicated to giving a voice to original folk musicians especially those based in the Greater Delaware Valley.

 

The XFS is dedicated to presenting original folk music from around the world to audiences in the Greater Delaware Valley.

 

The XFS is a 501c3 registered non profit corporation in the State of Pennsylvania
